Mahindra and Mahindra, on 1 December, announced their total sales numbers for November. The company reported a 21% year-on-year (YoY) increase in total sales to 70,576 units in the month under review against 58,303 units sold in November of the previous year.
The utility vehicle dispatches for the month stood at 39,981 units in November, marking a 32% YoY increase from 30,238 units reported in the same month last year.
However, the exports of the company saw a significant downward trend of 42% in November to 1,816 units compared to 3,122 units recorded in November 2022.
Veejay Nakra, President of the Automotive Division of Mahindra, said, “We continue our growth trend, backed by strong demand for our SUV portfolio…While we saw a healthy festive season, we faced supply challenges on select parts during the month. We are keeping a close watch and taking appropriate steps to mitigate the challenges.”
In its regulatory filing, the company said that its tractor sales increased to 32,074 units in the month under review from 30,528 units reported in the same month last year. However, the exports division of tractors saw a decline to 1,005 units for the month from 1,348 units reported in the same month last year.
