Stocks in Focus: Dabur, Wipro, Bajaj Auto and Others

The GIFT Nifty futures were trading slightly in the red before the market’s opening on Thursday. Domestic Indices are expected to open on a similar negative note. 

Domestic equity indices, NSE Nifty 50 and S&P BSE Sensex ended lower on Wednesday, as global markets remain shaky amid the ongoing Israel-Palestine war. Sensex fell 551.07 points or 0.83% to 65,877.02, while Nifty settled at 19,671.10 after shedding 0.71% or 140.40 points. 

Here are some stocks that will likely be in focus on October 19.

IIFL Finance: The company posted a consolidated net profit of Rs 526 crore during the quarter under review, marking an over 32% jump year-on-year (YoY). The company’s net interest income in the September quarter of FY23 grew by 38% YoY to Rs 1,001 crore.

Bajaj Auto: The auto major’s consolidated net profit for Q2FY24 jumped 17.5% YoY to Rs 2,020 crore. The company delivered 8,000 units of the Triumph bikes during the second quarter and plans to launch six new products and upgrades in the 125 cc plus category after Diwali. 

LTIMindtree: The software services saw its consolidated net profit for the second quarter slip 2.2% to Rs 1,162 crore against Rs 1,189 crore in the corresponding quarter a year ago. However, the company’s revenue from operations rose 8.2% per cent to Rs 8,905.4 crore.

Wipro: The IT services firm posted a net profit of Rs 2,667 crore in Q2FY24, almost flat growth from last year’s corresponding quarter. On a quarter-on-quarter basis, the profit fell by 7.5% from Rs 2,886 crore in the June quarter.  

Dabur: Three foreign subsidiaries of the personal care and consumer goods company, Namaste Laboratories LLC, Dermoviva Skin Essentials Inc. and Dabur International Ltd, are facing litigation in the federal and state courts in the US and Canada.
