Stocks in Focus: Infosys, HCL Tech, SJVN and Others

The GIFT Nifty futures were trading slightly in the green before the market’s opening on Friday. Domestic Indices are expected to open on a similar flat-to-positive note.

Domestic equity indices, NSE Nifty 50 and S&P BSE Sensex fell on Thursday, led by weak earnings reports by IT stocks. Sensex declined by 64.66 points or 0.1% to settle at 66,408.39, while the Nifty ended at 19,794 after slipping 0.09% or 17.35 points.

Here are some of the stocks that will be in focus on October 13.

Dr Reddy’s Laboratories: The pharma company’s biologics manufacturing facility in Bachupally, Hyderabad, received a Form 483 with nine observations from the US Food and Drug Administration (USFDA) after conducting a product-specific Pre-Approval Inspection (PAI) from October 4 to October 12. 

HCL Tech: The IT company reported a 10% year-on-year surge in its net profits in the July to September quarter of the ongoing financial year to Rs Rs 3,832 crore. However, HCL’s revenue from operations saw a marginal jump of 1.43% to Rs 26,672 crore in Q2FY24 during the same period. The company’s board has declared a dividend of Rs 12 per share held or 600% of the face value of Rs 2 per equity share, with October 20 as the record date and October 31 as the ex-date.

Infosys: The IT giant posted its net profit for the quarter ended September 2023 at Rs 6,212 crore, up 3.2% from last year. The company’s revenue from operations increased 6.7% year-on-year at Rs 38,994 crore. Infosys has also declared an interim dividend of Rs 18 per share and has fixed October 25 as the record date.

Mphasis Ltd: The company announced that its wholly-owned subsidiary, Maphasis Corporation, has acquired Sonic Partners LLC, USA, for $132.5 million. Sonic Partners is a digital transformation consultancy & salesforce partner operating under the name of Silverline.

SJVN: The company has received a Letter of Award (LOA) for developing a 100 MW Solar Power Project in Rajasthan on a Build Own and Operate (BOO) basis. The tentative cost of construction/development of this project is around Rs 600 crore.
