Tata Power Renewable Energy Ties Up With Dugar Power

This agreement will help cater to Nepal's diverse energy requirements.

Tata Power’s renewable arm, Tata Power Renewable Energy, on 21 September announced entering into a collaboration with Nepalese firm Dugar Power to push Nepal’s renewable energy initiatives.

This marks the company’s official strategic entry into Nepal’s rapidly evolving renewable energy sector and taking steps towards accelerating Nepal’s shift towards sustainable green energy.

The company said in its statement, “Tata Power Renewable Energy Ltd (TPREL) has signed an agreement with Dugar Power Private Ltd (Dugar Power), a subsidiary of Dugar Group which is a prominent business house in Nepal.”

Ashish Khanna, CEO of TPREL, said that this agreement will help cater to Nepal’s diverse energy requirements, offering scalable solutions from 1kW to MW levels.

He added that this partnership with Dugar Power is a strategic alliance engineered to redefine Nepal’s energy landscape. As we make our entry into Nepal’s promising renewable energy market, we intend to generate a transformative impact.”

The Managing Director of Dugar Power, Abhishek Dugar, said that their alliance with TPREL is a strategic alignment for achieving Nepal’s long-term objectives for renewable energy and energy self-sufficiency.
