Su-Kam Power Invests Rs 300 Crore to Build Energy Storage Park in Himachal Pradesh

Su-Kam Power Systems to build sustainable energy storage park in Himachal Pradesh.

Su-Kam Power Systems, a leading power solutions provider, signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Himachal Pradesh government to construct a Sustainable Energy Storage Park.

Su-Kam decides to produce e-mobility and solar energy products on the roughly 50-acre site as part of the contract. The State government will assign the firm the necessary land, external developments and additional required infrastructural facilities. Additionally, it will get connectivity to the highway and other incentives according to government norms.

The company added that the Himachal Pradesh government has already substituted its entire convoy of government vehicles with Electric Vehicles to become the first state in India. Su-Kam works on its R&D side to take off lithium-ion batteries and is also considering entering the two-wheeler and commercial EV market in the coming years.

Sanchit Sekhwal Goyal, Director, Su-Kam Power Systems, unveils to invest of around Rs 300 crore in the coming years and enlarge in green energy such as renewable, e-mobility, and other sustainable energy product for both two- and four-wheelers and solar panels.

Su-Kam aims to offer employment to 1,000 plus people and support the government’s task of zero carbon emissions in the state. Presently, it holds a network of over 10,000 dealers in India and a presence in 70-plus countries worldwide.

The company says its Energy Storage Systems Division works on new products, stepping towards the next generation of energy storage systems and policies to launch lithium-ion batteries.
