Gold loan lender Muthoot Finance announced in a March 28 exchange filing that it plans to prepay $550 million in external commercial borrowing due September 2, 2023.
The funds were raised in tranches under the Global Medium-Term Notes (GMTN) programme. The company raised funds in 2020 over three years.
Last month, the gold loan NBFC launched Tranche V of its secured non-convertible debentures (NCDs).
It has a base issue size of Rs 100 crore with an option to retain oversubscription of up to Rs 400 crore for up to Rs 500 crore.
