State-run NTPC Ltd has paid an interim dividend of Rs 4,121.08 crore for the financial year 2022-23 to its shareholders.

In a statement on Friday, NTPC Ltd said the dividend paid represented 42.50% of the company’s paid-up share capital.

“NTPC Ltd paid Rs 4,121.08 crore interim dividend for 2022-23 today. This is the 30th consecutive year that NTPC Ltd has paid a dividend,” it said.

Under the Power Ministry, NTPC is India’s largest electricity producer, contributing 24% of the country’s total electricity generation.
