Hinduja Tech, part of the diversified conglomerate Hinduja Group, has acquired Drive System Design for an undisclosed amount to expand its e-mobility services from development to production, the company said.

Drive System Design is a globally trusted engineering consultancy developing innovative solutions for electrified propulsion systems. Drive System Design currently provides advanced engineering design to the automotive, commercial vehicle, off-highway and aerospace industries in the UK, US and Asia.

Hinduja Tech CEO Kumar Prabhas said the acquisition of Drive System Design is an essential milestone in Hinduja Tech’s foray into the electric vehicle industry.

“Both markets (UK and US) have high-end engineering talent and are leading the transition to electric vehicles. As this demand increases, the combined strength of HT and DSD will be able to deliver best-in-class electric vehicle solutions to the global market program,” he said.

Following the acquisition of Drive System Design, Hinduja Tech will add cutting-edge design and testing laboratories, as well as advanced engineering capabilities in the UK and US.

As part of the Hinduja Tech family, Drive System Design will be able to expand its reach through Hinduja Tech’s global business model and complete vehicle development and integration expertise, he said.
