Rainbow Children’s Medicare surged 12.90 per cent to Rs 813.67 gains after the strong performance of the September 2022 quarter. The stock rose 1.97 per cent to settle at Rs 720.70 on 3 November 2022 and has risen 15.13 per cent in two days.

The company’s net profit on a consolidated basis rose 35.2 per cent to Rs 61.13 crore on a 17.6 per cent increase in net sales to Rs 313.05 crore in the second quarter of FY23 over the second quarter of FY22. PBT (before exception) surged 32.9 per cent on a yearly basis to Rs 81.37 crore in the second quarter of FY23.

EBITDA jumped 33 per cent quarter on quarter and 23 per cent yearly to Rs 109.52 crore. EBITDA margin rose 37 bps quarter on quarter and 147 bps yearly to 34.99 per cent in the second quarter of FY23.

ARPOB chain of hospitals for matured hospitals (operating for more than five years) went down to Rs 47,110 from Rs 52,788 in 2021. Its bed occupancy improved to 67.82 per cent in the second quarter of FY23 compared to 52.15 per cent in the second quarter of FY22 from matured hospitals.
