Nirmala Sitharaman, the Finance Minister of India, said the economy is growing fast as India needs the largest investment in the production of coal and gasification projects. Globally, energy prices, especially gas, go up.

Introducing the 6th round of coal mine auction by FM of the Ministry of Coal here on 4 November 2022, Sitharaman highlighted that India is the best investment destination in the world. The Minister pointed out that due to policy consistency and the transparent process of the present Government, coal imports for the power sector have come down by 41 per cent. Also, almost twelve states will benefit directly from the auctioning of 141 coal mines from today.
