On Wednesday, Luxury car maker Porsche India reported about a 37% rise in its sales to 193 units for the third quarter of the year. According to the firm, it had retailed 141 cars in the third quarter of 2021.
So far in 2022, Retail sales of 193 units during the third quarter assisted Porsche India in delivering 571 units, surpassing the previous best whole-year total of 534 units delivered in 2013, it reported. Furthermore, it added that on a consolidated basis, the firm had delivered 71% growth in its car sales in just the first nine months of 2022.
Porsche India, a division of the German automobile manufacturer Porsche and the Volkswagen Group India (SAVWIPL), only in the first half of this year, had retailed a total of 378 cars in the domestic.
“By stimulating the market with Porsche Exclusive Manufaktur (program) showcases through our dealerships, we have generated a buzz that will help carry the momentum into the fourth quarter and next year,” said Brand Director of Porsche India, Manolito Vujicic.
The programme and its Tech-equipment and Classic programmes enable car buyers to personalize their car with more than 700 options. SAVWIPL oversees the Indian operations of five Volkswagen Group brands – Audi, Skoda, Porsche, Volkswagen, and Lamborghini.
