Suzlon to Supply Wind Turbines Adding 48.3 MW to Adani Green Energy

This new order increases Suzlon's total cumulative order book to its largest ever size of nearly 5 GW.

On Tuesday, Suzlon said it had captured an order to supply 23 wind turbines totalling 48.3 MW from Adani Green Energy. Suzlon will be installing 23 units of their Wind Turbine Generators (WTGs) with a Hybrid Lattice Tubular (HLT) tower and an appraised capacity of 2.1 MW each, a company’s statement said.

The project is situated in Mandvi, Kutch, Gujarat, and is predictable to be commissioned in 2023. This command is a repeat order from Adani Green Energy and is in the calculation to the existing order of 226.8 MW as proclaimed on 13th August 2021.

“We are enchanted that Adani Green Energy Ltd has reiterated their trust in us for the additional order for their Wind Energy Project in Mandvi, Kutch in Gujarat. “It is always a pleasure to partner with India’s principal IPP in their pursuit to influence our nation with green energy,” Girish Tanti, Executive Vice Chairman, Suzlon Group, mentioned in the statement.

Suzlon will accomplish the project with the possibility of supply, connection, and commissioning. Additionally, Suzlon will offer post-commissioning procedures and conservation services.

“We believe that Suzlon is a manifest choice for our stakeholders and clientele because our products are modified for various Indian wind governments backed by our service offerings. “In our pursuit of Aatmanirbhar Bharat, Suzlon wind turbines typically have 70 per cent to 80 per cent domestic content and are manufactured in India through a flourishing domestic value chain,” Ashwani Kumar, CEO of Suzlon Group, said.
