Avenue Supermarts Ltd, which owns and operates retail chain D-Mart, reported a 35.75% rise in standalone operating income to Rs 10,384.66 crore in the second quarter of the current financial year.
According to regulatory filings, the company posted an operating income of Rs 7,649.64 crore in the same period last year.
“Revenue from standalone operations was Rs 10,384.66 crore for the quarter ended September 30, 2022,” it said in a regulatory filing on Monday. It had 302 stores as of the end of September.

In the July-September quarter of the 2020-21 financial year, Avenue Supermarts recorded a stand-alone revenue of Rs 5,218.15 crore. In the pre-pandemic July-September quarter of 2019-20, the figure stood at Rs 5,949 crore. Driven by Radhakishan Damani and his family, DMart operates in various states, including Maharashtra, Gujarat, Andhra Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Karnataka, Telangana and Tamil Nadu, which sells basic household and personal products.
