Ravi Modi, the owner of ethnic wear of the Manyavar brand, is the biggest gainer in India in the year 2022. With an increase in share at 376 per cent. Also, Falguni Nayar & family at 345 per cent and Rafique Abdul Malik & family at 240 per cent of Metro Brands.
Vedant Fashions hit high at 376 per cent to Rs 32,400 crore and shifted to 205 ranks to claim the 41st position in the list. Other brands named Mebaz, Twamev, Manthan and Moh compete with Trent, Aditya Birla Fashion Retail, TCNS Clothing Company and Metro Brands.
In 2002 Ravi Modi started Vedant Fashions in Kolkata to manufacture traditional Indian garments. The company’s revenue is $85 million from more than 600 stores all over India and eleven international stores. In 2021, Nykaa also grew by 345 per cent and reported a wealth of Rs 38,700 crore. Falguni Nayar & family flagship company ranked 33rd from 169.

On Wednesday, IIFL Wealth Hurun India released Rich List 2022. This list refers to individuals residing or born and bred in India. This is the 11th annual ranking of the wealthiest individuals in India. Wealth calculations are a snapshot as of 30th August 2022. India has 221 billionaires, down 16 compared to 2021.
