The longest reigning monarch of Britain, Queen Elizabeth II, passed away on September 8 at 96 at Balmoral Castle, Scotland. The Queen’s Coffin has flown home for the funeral today at Buckingham Palace. A grand procession has been organised in London before hundreds of thousands of people to pay their final respects to the Queen. The Queen’s funeral would be held at Westminster Abbey on September 19, 2000, and guests, along with 500 dignitaries across the globe, would partake in the funeral.

The leaders of the nation with which the UK has diplomatic ties, along with leaders from the commonwealth Nations, are expected to attend the funeral and procession. President of US Joe Biden, Prime Minster of Canada Trudeau, Prime Minister of New Zealand Jacinda Arden, Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese, and Indian President Draupadi Murmur have also confirmed their presence.
The Queen’s funeral could end up costing up to USD 9 million. The funeral would be marked as the first state funeral in Britain since former UK Prime Minister Sir Winston Churchill in 1965.

Queen’s Coffin would be transported from Buckingham Palace to Parliaments’s Westminster hall, and King Charles III would lead the procession. In a slow procession accompanied by a military parade and the Royal family members. In Westminster hall, Queen would rest for four days on a raised platform called a catafalque; during these four days, public members are allowed to pay a visit. At last, Queens, Cadaver would be laid at St. George Chapel, Windsor castle.
