From Bangalore Metro Rail Corporation (BMRCL), Blue Star won two orders of Rs 390 crore for the Reach-6 Bangalore Metro Rail Project Phase II, which spans from Kalena Agrahara to Nagawara. One order value is Rs 203 crore. This project will work on various underground stations associated with the tunnel section and five other elevated stations in Reach-6 of Banglore Metro Rail Project Phase II, maintenance work tunnel ventilation system (TVS) and environment control system (ECS).

B Thiagarajan, managing director at Blue Star, adds, “We have, in the past, successfully executed several metro rail projects, including Mumbai, Delhi, and Bangalore metro projects. Blue Star has conducted various activities, such as electrical, plumbing and fire-fighting services, including electro-mechanical projects, packaged AC systems, and unitary products.
The net profit of Blue Star had surged to Rs 74.25 crore in the first quarter of FY23 from Rs 12.69 crore recorded in the first quarter of FY22. The net sales climbed 87.3 per cent to Rs 1,970.32 crore in the first quarter of the current financial year compared with Rs 1,052.04 crore posted in the first quarter of the previous financial year, 2022. The company’s shares declined 1.56 per cent to Rs 1093.50 on the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE).
