Information Technology stocks were trading in the positive zone, with the S&P BSE IT Sector index rising 296.82 points or 0.97 per cent at 30811.14 in the morning trade.

Among the components of the S&P BSE IT Sector index, Aurum Proptech Ltd is up 4.98 per cent, Brightcom Group Ltd up 4 per cent, Coforge Ltd up 3.2 per cent, and AfflIndia Ltd up 3.09 per cent, Tech Mahindra Ltd up 2.14 per cent, were the top gainers. Among the other gainers were Allsec Technologies Ltd up 2.13 per cent, 3i Infotech Ltd up 2.06 per cent, Mindtree Ltd up 1.95 per cent, Persistent Systems Ltd up 1.93 per cent, and Latent View Analytics Ltd up 1.88 per cent. On the other hand, Tata Elxsi Ltd was down 1.63 per cent, Xelpmoc Design and Tech Ltd down 1.36 per cent, and Xchanging Solutions Ltd down 0.92 per cent. The S&P BSE Sensex was down 29.56 or 0.05% in the morning trade at 60268.44. The Nifty 50 index was up 0.05 points at 17956.55. The S&P BSE Small-Cap index was up 70.97 points or 0.25 per cent at 28509.54.
The S&P BSE 150 Midcap Index index was down 2.99 points or 0.03 per cent at 8970.65. On the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE), 1693 shares were trading in the green, 1166 were trading in red and 125 were unchanged.
