Wipro Consumer Care & Lighting announces entry into the packaged food business in India. The company has appointed Anil Chugh, head of Wipro’s consumer care business in India and SAARC, to oversee the vertical. In addition, Neeraj Khatri, head of Wipro Consumer Care Philippines entity, has been transferred to head of Wipro Consumer Care business India and SAARC.
Vineet Agrawal, CEO of Wipro Consumer Care & Lighting, said: “Our decision to enter the packaged food business will complement our existing personal care category, establishing a complete offering in the FMCG segment in India.”
Wipro Consumer Care & Lighting recorded revenue of Rs 8,634 crore for the financial year ended March 31.
It deals in personal laundry products, toiletries, facials, wellness, home care, wired devices, home and commercial lighting, and seating solutions.
The company owns popular brands such as Santoor, premium personal care brands Yardley, Enchanteur, Hygienix, Chandrika, Glucovita, Safewash, Softouch and Giffy Maxkleen, as well as LED lighting brand Wipro Garnet and male grooming brand Aramusk.
