Uttar Pradesh Finance Minister Suresh Kumar Khanna presented the first budget of Yogi Adityanath‘s second government in the state assembly on Thursday.
“The state’s economy is improving rapidly. We are confident that we will successfully grow the state’s economy to $1 trillion,” Khanna said in the budget report.
Sitting next to the CM, Khanna said Rs 276.66 crore is proposed for the Uttar Pradesh Special Security Force, responsible for protecting the courts and historical and religious sites, including Ayodhya, Kashi and Mathura.
Under the Police Emergency Management System, the second phase of the 112 schemes will start this financial year, with a proposed allocation of Rs 730.88 crore to strengthen the scheme. The Adityanath government has proposed a budget of Rs 5,50,270.78 crore for the 2021-22 financial year.
