Tata Power Renewables Commissions 120 MW Solar Project in Gujarat

Tata Power Renewables has commissioned a 120 MW solar project in Mesanka, Gujarat, producing 305,247 MWh per annum for Urja Vikas Nigam in Gujarat. During installation, around 381,000 components were used, and the project will reduce CO2 emissions by up to 103,000 tonnes per year. The project uses thin-film glass on glass modules and harnesses of various wattages, ranging in capacity from 440Wp to 460Wp.


Praveer Sinha, CEO and Managing Director of Tata Power, said: “We are proud to announce that the 120 MW solar project in Masenka, Gujarat, has been commissioned in just five months.” With 120 MW, Tata Power’s renewable energy generation capacity now stands at 3,520 MW, with 2,588 MW from solar and 932 MW from wind. Tata Power’s total installed renewable energy capacity is 4,920 MW, including 1,400 MW of renewable energy projects in various stages of implementation.
