As many as 29 antiquities, including the themes of Lord Shiva and his disciples, Lord Vishnu and the Jain tradition, have been sent back to India by Australia, and PM Narendra Modi has examined them. These antiquities come from different periods, with the earliest starting from the 9th to 10th century CE.

The antiquities range in six categories according to themes, i.e. Shiva and his disciples, Worshipping Shakti, Lord Vishnu and his forms, Jain tradition, portraits and decorative objects. These are prominent sculptures and paintings executed in different materials like sandstone, marble, bronze, brass and paper. Representing a large geographical region in India, antiquities are from Rajasthan, Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, Telangana and West Bengal.
