Inflection Point Ventures (IPV) has launched Physis Capital, a $50 million AIF CAT II venture capital fund. The new fund will have a greenshoe option of $25 million, taking the total pool to $75 million. The fund will look to invest in 15-20 startups via pre-Series A to Series B funding rounds. “The check sizes will start from $2 million to $10 million. The fund will also invest in companies across sectors like consumer tech, edtech, health tech, fintech, B2B SaaS, social and content commerce,” Ankur Mittal, co-founder of IPV, said.
The fund will be raised from the firm’s existing individual investors domestic and family offices from India, the Middle East and the UK, Mitesh Shah, co-founder of IPV, said. IPV has invested in 110 startups, of which it has secured entire exits from 9 investments and partial exits from around 12. “There have been 28 follow-on rounds and wherein early-stage investing has caught mortality rate of 80 per cent, and we are at 4 per cent,” Shah added.
