PM Narendra Modi spoke to Ukraine’s President Volodymyr Zelensky and asked for his help in evacuating Indian students stuck in Ukraine’s Sumy city. Around 700 Indian students are left in Sumy amid an intense war between Russia and Ukraine.
In a telephonic conversation that lasted for around 35 minutes, PM Modi thanked President Zelenskyy for the support done by the government of Ukraine in the evacuation of Indian nationals from Ukraine. Both of the leaders discussed the evolving situation in Ukraine. PM Modi also appreciated the continuing direct dialogue between Russia and Ukraine, they said. It was the second telephonic conversation between Modi and Zelenskyy after the war started in Ukraine.
