NxtGen Datacenter and Cloud Technologies will invest Rs 1,300 Crores to develop around ten more data centres and 236 edge centres in the country. The company is raising $100 million funding by the first quarter of 2022-23. The cloud storage and computing segment player operates four data centres in Mumbai, Delhi, Ahme­dabad, and Bengaluru and is thinking to set up centres in Chennai, Hyder­abad, and Visakhapatnam.

“For ten more data centres, we are investing around Rs 500 Crores. To complete these, another 236 edge data centres are being developed to see extra Rs 800 Crores investment. We want to fund roughly around Rs 600 Crores through equity, and if we are committed to the environment, social, and governance (ESG) thought process,” he said.
