Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman has arrived at the Parliament after the customary meeting with President Ram Nath Kovind. The Budget presentation will begin with the Finance Minister Sitharaman at around 11 am.

This is Sitharaman’s fourth Union Budget, where she will present financial statements and tax proposals for the fiscal year 2022-23 (from April 2022 to March 2023). The Budget Session of the parliament started on 31st January with President Ram Nath Kovind`s speech. The first part of the Budget Session of Parliament will be carried from 31st January to 11th February, and the second part will start from 14th March 14 to 8th April.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi also arrived for the Union Cabinet Meeting along with Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, Union Home Minister Amit Shah, Railways, Communications, and IT Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw, Parliamentary Affairs Minister Pralhad Joshi at the Parliament for and the Cabinet has approved the Budget 2022. The cabinet meeting at the Parliament has now concluded. Sitharaman will start her Budget speech in Parliament shortly.
