Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik said that the state government plans to improve power infrastructure to provide a 24×7 power supply to everyone. The CM said this at the Convention Centre in Lok Seva Bhawan for the recruits of Odisha Power Transmission Corporation Limited (OPTCL), the Chief Minister’s Office (CMO) said in a statement.
According to the statement, over 60 Management Trainees and 175 Junior Technicians joined OPTCL. For providing 24×7 quality and stable electricity supply to all, the government will invest in the power sector to improve the generation capacity, strengthen the transmission and distribution infrastructure, and supply electricity to all.
Stating that the government will create new employment opportunities for the youth, OPTCL has employed over 2000 young men and women. Joining the programme from Kalahandi, Minister for Energy, Industry and MSME Dibya Sankar Mishra recommended to the new recruits to work hard for the Chief Minister’s dream of providing electricity to all.
