Intel launched its 12th generation CPUs led by the Core i9-12900K processor, which the company assures as to the world’s best gaming processor. The Core i9-12900K features 16-cores divided into performance and efficiency cores. The processor can handle 24 threads, which can reach a speed of over 5.2GHz and highlights Intel’s Turbo Boost Max 3.0 technology.
Not just the process, it also features a brand new hybrid design that divides the power and efficiency cores. Power cores hit when there is a need for high performance, and the CPU mounts back to Efficiency cores in the downtime. These new chips will need a new motherboard based on Intel’s Z690 chipset. Intel is working closely with Microsoft to improve the CPUs for Windows 11. The new hybrid chips can lead to a new wave of Intel branded mobile chips and CPUs designed for ultra-portables and other devices in the future.
