Whirlpool is offering cash bonuses for getting vaccinated to its employees. “The health and safety of our workers is our top priority, and we know that we cannot do anything without their tireless commitment,” Marc Bitzer, Chairman and CEO of Whirlpool, said in a statement.

“We have got the proper protection according to the guidelines provided by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). This includes raised cleaning rules, distance working on our production lines and decrease lines as needed, and maintaining proper hygiene in the plants, including frequent hand washing and our employees have proper sanitisation equipment,” he added.

President Biden has declared new orders to encourage Americans who are not vaccinated to get a dose. The Labor Department’s Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) will also publish a rule using emergency authority to employers with more than 100 employees to ensure their workers get vaccinated. Businesses that don’t comply with the government can be fined approximately $14,000.
