Canada is planning to build a vaccine passport that will allow citizens to travel abroad, and it will be ready in the upcoming months, government officials said. “It is a key step in securing Canadians to have the documents they need once it is safe to travel again,” Immigration Minister Marco Mendicino told.

The European Union (EU) has a vaccine passport system that permits people to travel in the region. Other countries are also working on vaccine passports for both domestic use and international travel. Canada has the best vaccination records in the world. As of July, 81 per cent of people of age 12 and above had taken one vaccine shot and 68 per cent had been given a second shot.
