Amazon Inc’s platforms and its online store website, even Amazon Web Services, were down for multiple users on Sunday evening, according to outage observation website Downdetector. Around 37,000 users or even more reported that they had indicated problems with Amazon’s online store website, and about 300 users reported issues with the Amazon Web Services, according to Downdetector.

“We are sorry that some customers may be experiencing problems while shopping. We appreciate your patience as we work to resolve the issue,” an Amazon spokesperson said.

About 80 per cent of the issues reported were with the website, while 15 per cent was with its log-in and 5 per cent with its check-out, according to Downdetector. Downdetector tracks outages by checking status reports from a list of sources, which is submitted by users generally on its platform. The outage might have affected a more significant number of users.
