On Tuesday, the CM of Tamil Nadu J Jayalalithaa has launched a series of initiatives in the agriculture department which is totalling to Rs 70 crore.

The initiatives launched by her includes cold storage facilities constructed at an estimated Rs 21 crore in various parts of the state, six modern go-downs at Rs 7.20 crore and a complex for tender coconut in Coimbatore, a ‘first-of-its-kind’ initiative in the state.

Moreover, according to a state government release, she also launched 29 Jeeps for the department, by handing over keys of two of the vehicles to the drivers.
