KP Energy, on 3 January, announced that it had received a new order to develop an 86.1-megawatt wind power project that is part of a wind-solar hybrid power project from ABREL EPC Limited, which is a part of Aditya Birla Group company.
The project is for installing wind turbines and providing engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning services for 86.1 megawatts of wind portion from the overall power project of 151.1 megawatts that includes a 65-megawatt solar project.
The project also entails tasks such as land acquisition, manufacturing, design, supply, construction, erection, commissioning, and testing for the balance of the plant and securing the approvals and permits that are necessary for the projects.
The company expects to commission the project in the upcoming fiscal year of 2024-25.
According to the latest promoter holding, the promoters own the company own 55% stake, the FIIs (foreign institutional investors) and DIIs (domestic institutional investors) both hold 2% respectively, whereas the general public owns a 41% stake in the company.
KP Energy is a wind energy solution provider and is involved in developing the entire wind farm business from conceptualization to project commissioning.
